We hope that you’ve found some really inspiring designs in the printable tattoos above. Some are fierce, some and sexy and some are just pure fun! If you’ve found one that you think you’d like, print it out and have a think about it before you ink.
When you print out these designs, you might like to alter them a little bit – make notes, circle parts that you don’t really like and swap them out for other ones. This way you can really end up making the tattoo your own. Tattoos really are all about the individual and shouldn’t just be about going with the crowd. You have a great personality so let it shine through by adding little tweaks to your tatt or getting it in a different spot. Other options are different shading and combining different styles.
If you’re a whizz at Photoshop then you might like to change a printable tattoo up on your computer first to see how it looks. Asking friends and family for their input before you ink can also be a great way to avoid mistakes, like misspellings and culturally insensitive designs. Two sets of eyes are always better than one for anything!
We recommend printing out a design and leaving it next to your workstation at work or on the fridge at home for a little while. This way you can get used to it and see if you still like it after a couple of weeks. The most important part of tattooing is making sure that you haven’t made your first step towards laser tattoo removal! Laser tattoo removal can be even pricier than getting a tattoo in the first place and may take many sessions to remove your design. Even then, sometimes you can never get rid of it fully.
Make sure that you also research your particular tattoo artist before you go in to get inked. Like any profession, some tattooist are amazing, most of them are average and there are some that are downright terrible! You don’t want to head into the study with an absolutely amazing design only to have it completely butchered by some hack. A good way to research a tattooist is by searching online tattoo forums and checking out the tattooists Facebook and Instagram pages. Social media is a great place to see the best examples of their work. If you are really keen, you may be able to go in and watch them with a tattoo in progress before you go and get yours done. Always make sure to check with the artist and their current client to make sure that it’s okay first!
