University of Texas at El Paso (UTEP) has received national acclaim for innovative programs in business, fine and performing arts, education, behavioral sciences, and the humanities. Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center El Paso (TTUHSC El Paso) is the only health sciences center along the U.S.-Mexico border that provides the opportunities and environment for direct intellectual and interpersonal exchanges among nursing, medical, and graduate research students on one campus.

 

Southwest University opened its doors to the public in 1999 with the primary focus of educating individuals who lacked a strong grasp of the English language. In 2002, added vocational career courses that would help the participants achieve their career goals. It now has expanded its program to include a College of Imaging, a College of Allied Health, a College of Nursing, a College of Business, and Automotive Tech programs.
